deep forest1992年由dan lacksman,eric mouquest以及 michel sanchez三位音乐家创建于法国。 其中dan lacksman是制作人， 后两位担当演奏重任。dan lacksman是比利时人，生于1950年。他从1969年起在比利时布鲁塞尔担任录 音工程师，1970年开始运用合成音乐器材制作歌曲。1979年，制作marc moulin lio的专 辑，创下数百万张的销售量。其后又曾为thomas dolby, sparks及yellow  ;magic orchestra制作专辑而名噪一时。1980年，他成立自己的音乐公司，到1993年，制作了de ep forest第一张同名专辑，在世界各地创下惊人销售数字。到现在为止，dan-lacksman仍然执着的将 他专业的技术与观念，不断地为音乐注入新生命。而michel sanchez及eric mouquet 则是在联合国科教组织的全力支持下，深入非洲中部的雨林地带，以简单的录音器材将扎伊尔、喀麦隆及中非共和国矮人部落等地的传统 民谣记录下来，再以现代化的电子合马乐器掺进现代音乐的质感制作而成。身为世界音乐的先驱，融合了现代电子键盘乐器、各民族传统 音乐以及自己的创作，deep forest俨然已为世界音乐界最具代表性的顶尖领导团体。

    enigma的<return to innoc ence>和deep forest的<sweet lullaby>，可谓廿世纪末世 界音乐的两大最著名代表作：同样都曾采用过台湾原住民民谣做为音乐取样素材的这两支乐团，又以deep forest 同时在市场及乐评间所获之好评更胜一筹。deep forest不仅以各张专辑在英、美、法多国创下金唱片与白金唱片 的销售纪录，更获葛莱美与mtv音乐奖等单位之四项奖座的提名肯定，并曾荣获葛莱美奖“最佳世界音乐专辑”大奖。原本deep& nbsp;forest的成立，就是要深入发掘埋藏在全世界角落里的声音，因此他们花费了极大的心力，在这将近十年的乐坛岁月里 ，deep forest走访了非洲、亚洲、中南美洲等十数个未受现代文明污染的地区采集有声样本，将之吸收融合加入 强劲有力的流行及舞曲节奏中，以他们自己独特的音乐语汇，将古今东西不同文化相互沟通串联。 
 

sweet lullaby取材自非洲妈妈唱给小孩听的摇篮曲。在摇篮曲里，我们能轻而易举地被打动。让自己重新回到 妈妈的臂弯里，什么都不用想，只是听着妈妈的吟唱，然后睡去。这样简单的过程，我们是否还能体验得到？deep fo rest为sweet lullaby做了两个版本。一个给成年人听的，让他们在非洲妈妈动人的歌声中震得一楞一楞的 。而另一个版本真的是给小孩子听的，没有太突兀的记忆点，轻描淡写地搞环境音乐，无非是要造个小孩子快睡觉的环境。deep&n bsp;forrest开掘出了非洲口传音乐宝藏，让我们城里的宝宝也听听更为纯净的声音。
